Thanks for downloading my color scheme, I hope you enjoy using it!
Within this archive you found a number of things: This Read Me, my free registration link, my color scheme file, and my color scheme patch. Everything is pretty much self-explanatory, except (perhaps) for the color scheme patch.
What does it do? It makes this color scheme "heavy"--it adds my custom folder icons.
Right now, this scheme is just a basic color scheme: no custom folders, no custom trash, no custom anything. But, some people like schemes to replace those icons, so I included this patch. Just make a copy of the original scheme file (in case you decide you no longer want my custom folders), run the patcher, and restart. (The patch utility has detailed, online instructions as well.)
Registration
I think it's stupid to charge people a shareware fee for color scheme files. That's right. I've been making color schemes ever since Kaleidoscope hit the WWW--before Greg provided end users the ability to make their own schemes. I've spent hours, days, and weeks working on individual schemes...I've stayed up late at night drawing pixel by pixel...I've done all the stuff (and then some) that Those Who Charge Shareware Fees For Schemes always whine about, but...
I still refuse to charge any of you money for using my schemes. Why? Because I'm a Macintosh Fanaddict (fanatic + addict= fanaddict), and I love making others addicted to their Macs as well. If you have a cool looking Mac, you'll use it more--which makes you a better person! :)
There is a catch: If you want to have a good, clean conscience, you'll need to register your downloads with me. How? By simply sending me an email, letting me know which schemes you've downloaded. I'm not gathering names for spamming, selling, or anything like that--I'd just like to know which schemes people are actually downloading. It's easy, it's fast, and best of all...it's FREE!
Double-click the "Mauryﾕs Free Registration" file and you'll be taken to the Registration page of my web site, which contains a few words and a big link to my email address. It's so simple a 2-year old could do it!
